Eco-friendly products are better for us and kind to the planet. And, the more we buy green, the faster the market will respond, innovate and bring prices down.

There is an explosive interest in eco-tourism and guests are seeking environmentally responsible destinations. We will be here to help you increase your degree of greenness to give you a competitive advantage in attracting enlightened visitors.

Green procurement means the selection of products and services that have the lowest negative impact on the environment. We need to assess the environmental consequences of a product throughout its lifecycle - from cradle to grave. This means knowing the origin and sustainability of raw materials, the impact during the manufacturing process, toxins, packaging, transportation methods, storage, the effect on the environment when using a product and, finally, the method of disposal.

Finding green products and understanding what makes them green is a bit of a mission - so we've made it simple for you.

To try and protect you from suppliers guilty of green-washing we have researched the international criteria for eco-friendly products and designed a comprehensive, but user-friendly questionnaire. Not all the products here will be equally green; some may have international certification (e.g. EMAS and ISO 14001) others will meet the basic required criteria, but all will contribute to the protection of ourselves, our guests and the planet.
